Yes, the 3 old wenches known as MentalPause, their poolboy, Taylor, and Tippi, the 3-legged wonder hound (or old "poop in the hand" as I like to call her) made the grand trek down to Norman, OK, last weekend. We added some new toys to our collection. Three new bodice chillers for those hot & steamy days in Sept. in the Midwest. Yargh! Needa got the "titmouse," Esther got the "Highland Hog," and Jen got the "Bosom Bunny." We ran into a lot folks who come to KC every year and we got to see 2 of our favorite groups, Tullamore & The Jolly Rogers. There were a lot of great vendors there. They tend to do quite a few more vendors with some "non-period" type stuff & they have some pretty good prices. We consumed mass quantities of junk food (oh my aching bodice) & some nice adult beverages, which, by the way, you cannot purchase at the faire (bummer dudes). After imbibing in a large breakfast at the local Waffle House on Sunday, we hit the faire for a couple more hours before beginning the 5 hour trek home. It was a great weekend, perfect weather, and a good time was had by all.
